Today, on this day, over 2,000 years ago; A miracle happened. The son of God became a man, a human being like us, led to the slaughter on a wooden cross like a lamb slain on the alter that we may live! Live eternally to reign and rule with him FOREVER. TODAY HE LIVES! This is why Easter and the resurrection are so important to Christians. Hence the video above.

Contrary to what the atheists and humanists think: GOD IS NOT DEAD! He is ALIVE! He is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven where he directs all things on planet earth, the solar system, and the universe. For He created all things, and in Him we have our being; for He created us as well.

Jesus is God's only Son. While all believers are sons and daughters of God, only Jesus lives in this special unique relationship (see John 1:18; 3:16).

What is Easter about? It is about our Savior's sacrifice for us. His death on a wooden cross. A love so great that we can never, ever hope to repay him for washing our sins away, acquitting us from the penalty (eternal death) of our sin. He literally died to pay that penalty that we may live and reign with Him in heaven forever!
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:7-12. NIV
One may ask "If no one has seen God, how can we ever know him? John in his Gospel said, "God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known." (John 1:18). Jesus is the complete expression of God in human form and he has revealed God to us. When we love one another, the invisible God reveals himself to others through us, and his love is made complete.

Nothing sinful or evil can exist in God's presence. He is perfection. He is holy. He is absolute goodness. He cannot overlook, condone, or excuse sin. He loves us, but his love does not make him morally lax. If we trust Jesus Christ, however, we will not have to bear the penalty(eternal death) for our sins (1 Peter 2:24). We will be acquitted of our sin as though our sin never happened.

Do you believe in Jesus because he was a great historical figure?

Do you believe in Jesus because he comforts you?

Do you believe in Jesus because he is a great human example to follow. A moral person with which to live your life by?

Do you believe in Jesus because he was inspirational with great moral conviction about his principles?

Do you believe in Jesus because he did great miracles?

Do you believe in Jesus because he gives great blessing?

Or do you believe in Jesus Christ because he is your Lord and God?

On several occasions in the new testament the bible records that Jesus Christ, the son of God wept: a very human trait. He wept out of love for those he knew personally such as Mary, for Lazarus (John 11:35), for the Jewish people who did not understand him, and for the great sin of mankind.

He felt the great burden of his destiny especially the last several days of his life and he felt the weight of our sin, indeed the sin of the whole human race that he was about to accept with his death on the cross.

A love so great, that he would experience a slow agonizing suffocating crucifixion on a cross to pay our penalty of sin and acquit us of that penalty.

How can you receive that love?

Do the following:

Admit that you sin and that this is not acceptable to a holy, perfect God.

Believe in your heart and confess with your lips that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross and rose again to pay that penalty (eternal death) for your sin.

Heed the call of God on your heart.

Decide to trust and obey his word and place Him on the throne of your life. Trust Him as your Lord and Savior.

Read the following scriptures from the Holy Bible and He will guide your life and make your paths straight; He will be your life boat when all else is sinking; He will be your lamp in a dark sinful world; He will be your guidepost in stormy seas.

Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:8-10, 10:13, 12:1-2.
"Father the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began." John 17:1-5 NIV.

King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is risen. He is risen indeed!
