The only purpose is to improve ratings, raise money, and get more media exposure. It is all about creating an image, a perception as the media tallies the tit for tat of each go around. By election day mass confusion of the issues reigns.

Look at the voting record of each candidate, then decide. It is the true measure of what each candidate believes!
